Mexico City: Spiritualism Runs Deep

by Max Shen

Visiting Mexico City was an illuminating experience, opening me up to its beautiful culture and spiritual history dating back to the pre-Columbian period. There was a vibrance to the city that I have not felt anywhere else. Everywhere I went, the city was alive, in its people, the architecture, food, and art. I visited some of the newest museums and cultural sites, including the Soumaya Museum, while also visiting one of the city's oldest, the pyramids at Teotihuacan. I was fortunate enough to visit a sacred underworld site with an archaeologist, deep below Teotihuacan. I learned to make silver jewelry with a master craftsman in his studio. The sheer scale and depth of this ancient city, its people, and its spiritual background are unbelievable.
